SheMed has launched an at-home screening kit for PMOS designed to streamline diagnoses and connect women to clinical care.
PMOS affects up to one in eight women, yet 70% of those with the condition are estimated to be undiagnosed. With symptoms spanning metabolic, hormone, and reproductive health, SheMed’s kit aims to provide a clear pathway to diagnosis and care.
The UK-based women’s health company’s kit screens for common signs of the condition via a blood test measuring 19 metabolic and hormone markers, alongside a health questionnaire. Following an asynchronous clinical assessment, SheMed physicians perform additional assessments when needed and provide personalized care plans – including treatment and ongoing monitoring.
“PMOS can affect so much more than periods or fertility, yet women are often left trying to connect the dots themselves,” said Olivia Ferro, CEO and Co-Founder of SheMed. “We built this screening service to give women a clearer picture of their health, access to clinicians who understand the condition, and a path forward based on their individual needs.”
With more than 100,000 customers to date, the launch builds on SheMed’s existing weight loss program and lineup of women’s health supplements.
