Norway’s DNB Launches Global Women’s Health Investment Fund

Norway’s largest bank, DNB, has launched a global equity fund focused on women’s health.

Led by portfolio manager and physician Anesa Mulabecirovic Sahnoun, DNB Fund Women’s Health will invest across pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, treatments, medtech, healthcare, and consumer goods.

According to Norwegian business newspaper Dagens Næringsliv, the fund will manage 30 to 50 companies. Extending beyond fertility, DNB’s focus spans women’s health across lifestages, including mental health, cancer, menstruation, menopause, pelvic health, and conditions that disproportionately affect women.

The fund’s thesis builds on research from the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration, spotlighting women’s higher rates of sick days in comparison to men, underscoring the broader economic impact of gaps in women’s health.

DNB’s latest move follows several focused funds targeting the $15 trillion female economy – Capital F unveiled its $17 million debut fund, while Yellow Cherry Capital launched to prioritize women’s health and MOSAIC Capital Collaborative announced an investment platform for menstrual conditions and disorders.
