Orreco, an AI bio-analytics platform, has acquired Jennis, the hormone health and fitness platform founded by Olympic gold medalist Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition combines Jennis with Orreco’s existing portfolio, which includes FitrWoman – a menstrual cycle tracking platform used by England’s Lionesses football team – and DDSA Computer Vision, a biomechanics firm used by tennis player Aryna Sabalenka. Orreco completed a $4 million Series A in 2024 led by Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban.
Ennis-Hill founded Jennis in 2021 to help women adjust their fitness programs to their menstrual cycle, raising £1 million in pre-seed funding led by Maki.vc. The platform offered cycle-mapped workout recommendations aligned with the four phases of the menstrual cycle.
“This is not a collection of tools – it’s a single intelligence platform,” said Dr. Brian Moore, Orreco co-founder. “By uniting Orreco AI with FitrWoman, Jennis IP and DDSA computer vision, we are redefining how women’s performance is measured, understood and optimised.”
Ennis-Hill said she was “really excited about the Orreco vision and success in the elite women’s sports space,” adding: “As an elite athlete every marginal gain is critical to be the best and with the incredible advances Orreco has made with their @thlete platform and the potential to apply this to their work with elite sportswomen, and teams is a game changer.”
Orreco said the acquisition would create the “most advanced women’s performance ecosystem in the world” by combining hormonal health, menstrual cycle intelligence, biomechanics, and AI analytics.
