Pro Parents, a Dutch company focused on workplace wellbeing and family health benefits, has closed a €1 million funding round. The investment brings the company’s total equity funding to €3.3 million.

The funding round includes new investors Mike de Boer, founder of Knab Bank, and Andre Grimbergen, founder of Albelli, who invested through their fund Quantum Leap Capital. Additional new investors include Lara Koole, former venture partner at Philips Ventures and co-founder of Carbon Equity, and Jeroen ter Huurne of Collin Crowdfund. Existing investors HealthTech investor Oost NL and Peakfijn also participated. The company previously received support from the Goldschmeding Foundation and the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.

Pro Parents develops HR technology that helps employers support employees during family formation, pregnancy, postpartum, return to work, and balancing work with parenthood. The company aims to reduce absenteeism, lower turnover and healthcare costs, and create healthier workplace environments.

The new capital will support Pro Parents’ growth strategy and strengthen its academic collaborations with partners including Radboud University and the Baby and Child Research Centre. The company has already secured €6.7 million in non-dilutive funding through academic and medical consortia and aims to expand its role in public-private partnerships. Pro Parents is also preparing for expansion into European markets.

Joyce Knappe, CEO and founder of Pro Parents, commented on the successful funding round: “What made all the difference is the crystal-clear vision we’ve developed over the past years — on what works, for whom, and why. We understand the value that HR technology brings in structurally strengthening employers’ vitality and workplace wellbeing strategies. By now, we have both the broad experience and the in-depth knowledge to create lasting change by meeting the needs and overcoming the barriers faced by both parents and their employers. The coming years will be all about transformation and impact.”

Mike de Boer of Quantum Leap Capital added: “Pro Parents shows how to truly make a difference: healthy employees and a better workplace. Founder Joyce Knappe brings vision and drive, combining deep health domain expertise with entrepreneurial strength, and a clear impact-driven tech mission. This is exactly the diverse team we look for, when we invest.”
