June Health, a Canadian women’s healthcare platform delivered as an employer and partner benefit, has closed an oversubscribed C$2.4 million funding round. Securian Canada, a leading insurance provider, contributed as a strategic institutional investor alongside AgeTech Capital and Canadian technology founders including Dave and Mike Wessinger (PointClickCare) and Michael Garrity (Financeit).

The platform combines AI-enabled health navigation with personalized care coordination and multidisciplinary virtual care spanning hormonal health, fertility and family planning, mental health, sexual health, chronic conditions, preventive care, parenting support, and menopause. Its care team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, dietitians, naturopaths, parent coaches, and women’s health specialists.

June Health’s AI helps women navigate insurance coverage, identify appropriate care pathways, and access specialized support – addressing what the company sees as persistent gaps in continuity, accessibility, and coordination across women’s healthcare. The platform is distributed through employers, benefits administrators, affinity groups, and insurers.

“Women’s health has been underserved, underfunded and unnecessarily difficult to navigate for far too long,” said founder and CEO Lori Casselman. “We believe women’s healthcare will become a core component of the next generation of employee benefits.”

The Securian Canada investment is notable as a signal from the insurance industry. “We see strong alignment between June Health’s vision and Securian Canada’s efforts to provide inclusive solutions that break down barriers for Canadians,” said Securian Canada CEO Nigel Branker. The funding will support AI and data infrastructure, employer and distribution partnerships, and care platform expansion.
