On September 29 and 30, 2022 the North American femtech community is coming together again in Boston for the 4th edition of Women’s Health Innovation Summit. Each year the 2-day event invites selected startups to pitch their solutions in front of industry leaders and investors. Just recently the finalists, who were selected by 10 leading VCs in the space, were announced.

3 Daughters

3 Daughters is a clinical development company focused on Evolutionary Healthcare for Women. Their first solution is a frameless, magnetic, non-hormonal intrauterine device (IUD) based on physics and geometry for long-acting contraception.

Ananya Health

Ananya Health is building a medical device to freeze abnormal cells before they become cervical cancer. Their proprietary cryoablation platform removes the reliance on consumable gar, making the procedere portable, battery-powered, and 10x cheaper than traditional cryo.

Antiva Biosciences

Antiva Biosciences is a clinical-stage, global women’s health company developing novel, topical therapeutics for the treatment of cancerous lesions caused by HPV infection.

AOA Dx

AOA Dx has partnered with a leading researcher at McGill University to develop the first early stage ovarian cancer liquid biopsy diagnostic test.

Endometrics

Endometrics developed a unique solution for non-invasive diagnosis of endometriosis using menstrual blood and endometrial cells in it.

Escala Medical

Escala is on a mission to introduce a life changing repair solution for women with pelvic organ prolapse (POP). They developed Apyx, the first minimally invasive, incision-free device that replaces surgery.

Evvy

Evvy is on a mission to close the gender health gap by discovering and leveraging overlooked biomarkers in the female body – starting with the vaginal microbiome.

Hera Biotech

Hera‘s vision is to become an industry leader in tissue-based diagnostics for women’s health, specifically in diagnostic assays for non-malignant and non-infectious disorders of the female reproductive tract.

IMMA

IMMA is an at home ovarian stimulation monitoring system which includes a remote automated intra-vaginal ultrasound device with AI-powered image analysis. The system enables women to perform their own follicle stimulation follow-ups by themselves, for themselves, in the intimacy and comfort of their home. in an easy-to-scan, easy-to-check solution.

iSONO Health

iSONO Health has developed an AI-driven ultrasound platform for health monitoring. Their first FDA-cleared and patented solution, ATUSA, is the world’s first automated and wearable ultrasound with an ML engine to transform breast health management for millions of women every year.

Khyria

Khyria is a digital health solution for women in midlife and menopause that addresses the most pressing symptoms and long-term health priorities.

Materna Medical

Materna Medical is a novel OBGYN platform company dedicated to protecting and restoring women’s pelvic health. The medical device company is focused on preventing and treating some of the most common pelvic conditions women face.

MiMark

MiMARK is focused on improving gynecological diagnostics based on building a ‘new’ liquid biopsy: the gynecologic fluid. The company’s mission is to improve women’s health by developing innovative and minimally invasive diagnostic assays to solve unmet clinical gynecological needs.

MirZyme

MirZyme is a biotech company that has a potential cure for preeclampsia, a life-threatening maternal hypertensive disorder of pregnancy.

Raydiant Oximetry is on a mission to develop a better fetal monitor.

SLBST Pharma

SLBST Pharma seeks to address the pain of endometriosis by repurposing a 60-year-old drug as a first non-hormonal long-term treatment. The company holds issued US and European patents for the use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to treat endometriosis.
