Wawa Fertility, a start-up founded in Denmark in late 2020, has expanded into the UK to support women undergoing fertility treatment. The Wawa app is a support system for fertility patients, designed as a personal assistant, that works to provide the most comprehensive treatment, including medical and mental health support. Goal is to provide healthcare that is personalized to each fertility patient’s needs.

Being diagnosed with infertility often comes with unexpected financial burden and a need to better understand treatment options and next steps. Infertility is the most common chronic disease for people of reproductive age, with over 50,000 women undergoing fertility treatment in the UK in 2019.

The start-up has recently received investment from MMC Ventures, which will be used to accelerate growth and build a tool for fertility clinics to improve treatment efficacy and reduce the administrative burden of clinicians.
