Trellis Health has launched an at-home postpartum lab panel designed for comprehensive recovery monitoring. The test uses an FDA-cleared blood collection device and covers biomarkers including hormones, thyroid function, inflammation, nutrient levels, cardiovascular health, and organ function.

The Trellis Postpartum Panel addresses gaps in postpartum care, where the six-week visit is often the only scheduled check-in for new mothers. One in three women experience complications in the year following birth, yet many develop thyroid issues, heart disease, and vitamin D deficiency without proper monitoring or baseline data.

The at-home test takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and provides results before the standard six-week postpartum visit. Biomarkers tested include ferritin, cortisol, vitamin D, hsCRP, insulin, and thyroid hormones, processed in a CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited laboratory using the FDA-cleared Tasso device.

“Women tend to live longer but often spend more time in poor health, not at the end of their life, but scattered throughout years of ‘not feeling quite right’, dramatically intersecting with pregnancy and postpartum,” said Dr. Estelle Giraud, CEO and Co-Founder of Trellis Health. “At Trellis we’re building a future where all women have a deep understanding of their bodies, and are supported in optimizing their own health and recovery in real time.”

The panel tests for bone, blood, and metabolic health alongside hormonal balance and inflammation markers. Trellis positions the test as more comprehensive than existing hormone-only or single-nutrient tests available on the market, covering inflammation, nutrients, organ function, hormone balance, and cardiometabolic health. The launch follows Trellis Health’s platform launch for iOS and represents the company’s approach to personalized, preventative maternal care.

The test is available through membership at Trellis Health’s platform, allowing women to collect samples at home without scheduling appointments or traveling to healthcare facilities. The company aims to shift postpartum care from reactive models toward proactive, patient-led solutions.
