TMRW Life Sciences has announced the upcoming launch of TMRW Vault, a liquid nitrogen smart tank and digital workstation that combines digital innovation with manual storage access for frozen eggs, embryos, and sperm.
The company, which has been developing solutions to modernize frozen IVF specimen storage and management since 2018, created this new offering after years of collaboration with fertility clinics and embryologists. The TMRW Vault expands the company’s suite of cryostorage options, providing a flexible solution for clinics whether they need onsite or offsite, vapor or liquid, manual or automated storage.
“Since 2018, we’ve been developing solutions that modernize and elevate the storage and management of frozen IVF specimens for fertility clinics – and having ingested more than 350,000 specimens, we’ve learned that when it comes to cryostorage, it’s not a one-size-fits-all-clinics approach,” said Louis Villalba, Chief Executive Officer of TMRW Life Sciences. “The TMRW Vault was the missing puzzle piece in our comprehensive cryostorage offering. Now, we have a solution that can adjust to any clinic’s storage needs.”
The TMRW Vault offers several key benefits including digital specimen management using RFID technology, manual access for increased speed and efficiency, scalability with a single tank holding as much as ten traditional dewars and accommodating up to 1,470 patients in one-third of the footprint, and advanced monitoring through TMRW’s Overwatch system that performs thousands of daily checks.
Additional features include compatibility with the TMRW ecosystem for adopting additional solutions like offsite storage at the TMRW Biorepository, easy installation that can be completed in a single day, and EMR integration to minimize manual inputs and maintain accurate patient records.
TMRW currently partners with over 70 clinics – representing approximately 25% of U.S. patient cycle volume—and manages more than 50,000 patients’ specimens. Several leading clinics are preparing to implement the TMRW Vault in the coming weeks.
“What truly sets TMRW apart is their dedication to adapting and enhancing their solutions to meet the unique needs of each lab and clinic,” said Bec Holmes, Senior Vice President, Lab Operations at CCRM Fertility. “Their deep understanding of IVF labs and ability to innovate has resulted in a solution that blends technology with the practical demands of everyday operations.”
Founded in 2018, TMRW Life Sciences has developed technology that allows frozen specimens to be digitally identified and tracked, safely managed with automated robotics, and remotely monitored around the clock.
