The new membership program enables individuals to order from over 100 lab tests directly, bypassing traditional insurance requirements. Members can complete tests either at local labs or from home, and receive interpretations from Root’s functional medicine clinicians.
The platform aims to increase accessibility to health testing by offering up to 90% discounts on traditional lab costs. Additional membership benefits include reduced prices on professional-grade supplements, free shipping, and access to a functional health-focused community.

The service is currently available across most U.S. states through flexible monthly memberships with no long-term commitment requirements. Members receive expert insights from Root’s doctors and dietitians, along with access to exclusive online education resources.
The funding round, led by The 4100 Group with additional undisclosed participants, will support the platform’s expansion and development of its direct-to-consumer lab testing services.
