PVOLVE Releases Women’s Longevity Report, Launches Strength Training Program

PVOLVE

PVOLVE has released its first Movement Longevity Report, highlighting gaps in strength training education among women, and launched a new health aging program in partnership with ambassador Jennifer Aniston.

While strength training can help women in midlife maintain muscle and bone health, 66% of women surveyed said a doctor or trainer had never advised them to strength train. Only 16% have received guidance on how to get started, while56% reported barriers – like not knowing where to begin, fear of injury, and feeling intimidated.

“Age-related loss of muscle mass and strength, is one of the most under-appreciated predictors of frailty, falls, and loss of independence in women, yet it remains almost invisible in routine care,” said Dr. Nima Alamdari, Chief Clinical Advisor at PVOLVE. “Bone density has DEXA scans and screening guidelines. Muscle has no equivalent, even though loss of strength, functionality, and body composition through menopause is as consequential as bone loss. These should be measured and treated as vital signs.”

The report also found that GLP-1 users require additional education – of respondents taking weight loss drugs, only 32% had learned about the risk of muscle loss from a provider before starting.

In response to the findings, PVOLVE introduced Movement Longevity, a new vertical designed to make weight training more accessible for women of all ages. Available on-demand, the new program, created in partnership with Aniston, offers a 30-day training schedule that prioritizes progressive overload.

“A lot of women are intimidated by weights or don’t know where to start. PVOLVE showed me that weight training doesn’t mean lifting as heavy as possible or pushing yourself to exhaustion,” said Aniston. “Every movement works your whole body, so you get more out of every minute. It’s challenging, efficient, and genuinely fun, and I’ve seen a real change in my body composition because of it.”
