As Deutsche Startups reports Kranus Health, a Berlin-based startup has raised $8.5M from SwissHealth Ventures, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Wenvest, and A Round Capital. The startup, founded in 2020 by Thilo Kleinschmidt and Jens Nörtershäuser, positions itself as an “integrated digital care concept in urology.”

The fresh capital is to flow primarily into internationalization – such as to France. Karista, Peak Pride, HTGF, and A Round Capital, as well as several angel investors, recently invested $6.5M in the healthtech company bringing the total size of the Series A round to $15M.

Co-founder & Co-CEO Thilo Kleinschmidt told EU Startups last year: “At Kranus Health, we break taboos and solve men’s health issues that no one talks about. There is a great deal of potential in treatment backed by digital technology. We are improving patient care and allowing specialists to prescribe therapies that are in line with medical guidelines.”
