GLORIAH has raised £600,000 in an oversubscribed seed round to scale its line of intimate wellness products. The round was led by Gabriel Investment Syndicate with participation from Highland Venture Capital, Investing Women Angels, Apollo, and Scottish Enterprise.
The Edinburgh-based company was launched in 2021 by Jessica-Rose Watson and Isla Wynne Thomas to develop solutions for hormone-related vaginal dryness – including a naturally formulated lubricant and moisturizing oil. Its product lineup has since expanded to include functional fragrances designed to support energy, mood, and sleep.
“GLORIAH exists because too many women are still expected to tolerate discomfort, embarrassment, or dismissal when it comes to their intimate health,” said Watson. “We want to change that by giving women products, education, and language that help them feel seen, informed, and able to advocate for themselves.”
GLORIAH’s latest funding will support the brand’s retail expansion on Boots.com and QVC UK, as well as its entrance into the US market via Amazon and other potential distribution channels.
“The success of GLORIAH’s fundraise reflects a significant market shift, with experienced early-stage investors from diverse backgrounds viewing vaginal dryness solutions as a mainstream investment opportunity,” said Alex Lusty, who led the deal at Gabriel Investment Syndicate.
