Reproductive health app Clue has partnered with mental health platform Headspace to provide tailored support for women and people with cycles navigating mental health challenges linked to their menstrual health. Through this collaboration, Clue Plus members will have access to a 50% discount on a Headspace subscription, offering resources designed to help manage cycle-related stress and enhance overall well-being.

This partnership addresses the growing need for mental health support integrated into cycle health management. According to a recent survey of over 12,000 Clue users, anxiety and depression are the most common health conditions reported within the app, representing over 36% of all confirmed health issues. Additionally, a significant portion of users expressed that managing daily life while experiencing menstrual symptoms was a major challenge. Emotional symptoms, such as sadness, anxiety, and mood swings, were also a primary concern for many users.

Rhiannon White, Chief Product Officer at Clue, emphasized the importance of combining Clue’s cycle-tracking insights with Headspace’s mental health expertise. “We consistently hear from our Clue community how symptom-tracking throughout their cycles helps them identify and validate cycle-related patterns – both physical and mental. After recently launching our new Feelings Analysis feature that helps members identify recurrent changes, our partnership with Headspace is a further step in providing evidence-based tools and guidance to help better manage their mental health. By combining Clue’s leading cycle tracking insights and predictions with Headspace’s expert mental health resources, we can help members navigate changes throughout their cycle and manage stress and feelings of everyday anxiety associated with big life changes like trying to conceive, pregnancy, and perimenopause,” said White.

The collaboration aims to provide targeted mental health support for users at various stages of their reproductive journey. For those tracking their cycles, Clue’s Feelings Statistics and Analysis features allow users to identify and anticipate mood changes linked to their cycle, helping them better utilize Headspace’s resources. Individuals on their fertility journey can access mindfulness and meditation content specifically designed to manage stress during this sensitive time. Expectant parents can find support in navigating the emotional challenges of pregnancy, while those experiencing perimenopause or menopause can benefit from curated exercises that address the physical and emotional shifts associated with this life stage.

Emma Nemtin, Head of Consumer Partnerships and Distribution at Headspace, highlighted the often overlooked connection between menstrual health and mental health. “The connection between menstrual health and mental health isn’t talked about nearly enough. Headspace is on a journey to provide our members with mental health support for all of life’s moments, both big and small. We’re thrilled to team up with Clue to empower women and others with cycles to take ownership over their mental wellbeing in addition to their physical health,” said Nemtin.
