Capital F has closed its $17 million debut fund to back female-founded and women-focused early-stage startups.
Founded by former Credo Beauty CEO Dawn Dobras and longtime investor and operator Margaret Coblentz, Capital F was launched to invest in the $15 trillion female economy.. Writing checks from $250,000 to $1 million, the firm is focused on three key areas: women’s health and wellness, AI and technology, and digital commerce.
Aligned with its mission, approximately 85% of the firm’s limited partners are women, compared to an industry average of less than 20%. Capital F’s LP base includes executives and leaders from companies like Netflix, Apple, Rothy’s, Cotopaxi, Old Navy, Godiva, Starbucks, HOKA, Pottery Barn, and Life360.
“Women influence trillions in economic activity, yet too many of the markets that matter most to them remain underbuilt and underfunded,” said Dawn Dobras, Co-Founder and General Partner of Capital F. “We launched Capital F to back exceptional founders solving real problems in large markets, and to bring operator experience to the earliest stages where it matters most.”
The firm has already invested in 13 companies, including reproductive health platform Xella, reproductive telemedicine platform Hey Jane, and cycle- and hormone-tracker Stardust. Capital F plans to deploy the remainder of its fund by the end of 2027.
