WNBA star Aliyah Boston has joined menstrual care company Sequel as a Co-Owner.

Founded by former athletes and Stanford engineering graduates Amanda Calabrese and Greta Meyer, Sequel’s hero Spiral Tampon uses a helical design to improve absorption and reduce leaking.

Since its inception, Sequel has secured FDA approval for its tampon and more than $8 million in funding, while building a growing portfolio of professional sports partnerships. The company is the Official Tampon Partner of the Indiana Fever and has partnered with Yankee Stadium and Audi Field to supply product.

Rather than investing in traditional retail, Sequel has grown its following via IRL activations and community-first shopping content on TikTok Shop. As a longtime Sequel user, Boston brings an authentic connection to the brand alongside the reach and visibility of a WNBA star with more than 600,000 social media followers

Aligned with Sequel’s mission to make quality period care more accessible for athletes and fans alike, Boston initiated the conversation with the brand. Also an investor in NWSL’s Boston Legacy FC, Boston will create content for her followers and participate in marketing campaigns in exchange for equity in the company.

The deal marks Boston’s first equity partnership in which she will take an active role with the company, rather than simply serve as a brand ambassador.
