Estrigenix Therapeutics secured the first close of a $2 million Series Seed led by Talents Fund I to advance its selective estrogen receptor-beta (ERβ) platform through preclinical development.

Unlike conventional hormone therapy, the biotech company is developing a selective, non-steroidal therapy designed to activate estrogen-receptor beta (ERβ) while avoiding estrogen receptor-alpha (ERα), which is associated with risks of traditional treatments. Estrigenix’s approach has the potential to address multiple indications—spanning menopause-related symptoms and neurodegenerative diseases—through a shared biological pathway.

The investment–which follows key milestones, including securing its intellectual property license and appointing Victoria Zellmer as CEO–will support additional preclinical research and development, positioning the company’s lead therapy for future clinical trials and pharmaceutical partnerships.

“This financing marks an important inflection point for Estrigenix. It reflects years of scientific progress and disciplined company building, and it allows us to advance a differentiated platform toward clinical development while expanding the opportunities that platform can ultimately address,” said Zellmer.
