AI-powered household assistant Ohai.ai has raised a strategic funding round led by Muse Capital to expand its platform aimed at reducing mental load for families. The round included notable investors such as actress Olivia Munn, writer Mindy Kaling, Olympian Abby Wambach, and Hello Sunshine CEO Sarah Harden.

The funding will support product development and accelerate Ohai.ai’s mission to streamline household management through AI-powered assistance. The company has launched a school calendar upload integration that allows parents to automatically sync school calendars from across the United States into their Ohai app.

Founded by Sheila Lirio Marcelo, former founder and CEO of Care.com, Ohai.ai serves as an operating system for busy households by managing schedules, to-dos, and reminders. The platform combines artificial intelligence with human-centered design to address what the company describes as the invisible labor that families, particularly women, carry daily.

“As a mom, caregiver, and entrepreneur, I know the crushing mental load of running a family — especially during back-to-school season — so our mission at Ohai is to reduce the cognitive overload families experience every day,” said Sheila Lirio Marcelo, Founder and CEO of Ohai.ai. “When we make invisible work visible, we can then make it disappear.”

The new school calendar feature addresses a common pain point for parents by eliminating the need to manually enter school breaks, holidays, early dismissals, and special events. Parents can find their school by zip code or upload documents, and Ohai automatically adds events to their calendar for sharing with spouses, caregivers, or babysitters.

Since launching in beta, Ohai.ai has helped thousands of families schedule hundreds of thousands of calendar events and reminders. The company has built a database of over 67,000 school calendars and more than 27 million local events for the back-to-school season.

“Ohai.ai has genuinely changed the way I manage family life with two kids,” said Olivia Munn. “It means fewer calendar conflicts and more space in my brain in my day for what matters.”

The funding round was co-led by Muse Capital founding partners Rachel Springate and Assia Grazioli-Venier, with participation from previous investors including NEA, Eniac Ventures, and Bright Ventures.

“Sheila [Lirio Marcelo] and her team are not only reimagining the future of household productivity, but doing so with a deep understanding of the emotional and logistical realities of care,” said Rachel Springate, Founding Partner at Muse Capital.
