Carrot has expanded its managed fertility network by adding 4,200 new clinics and providers across all 50 U.S. states. The expansion builds Carrot’s global network to over 17,000 providers covering fertility, menopause, urology, and third-party assistance services.

The company has introduced new payment capabilities alongside the network expansion, including direct-to-provider payments and cost share support for members with major medical plans. The Carrot Card now includes coinsurance and copayment features for customers with existing major medical coverage.

Carrot determines network inclusion based on quality metrics including outcomes, credentials, geographic access, fair-market pricing, and patient experience. The company uses its fertility outcomes dataset to identify the highest-performing clinics within its network through quality stratification.

“Each year, Carrot makes important investments to strengthen our managed network, elevating and evolving the experience for members, customers, and providers,” said James Wong, Carrot’s Chief Outcomes Officer. “In 2025, we made large investments to build on our strong foundation across three key areas: access, payments, and quality.”

The platform evaluates providers based on elective single-embryo transfer rates, clinical pregnancy rates, live birth rates, and pre-term rates. Through CarrotMatch’s personalized evaluation system, members are connected with providers based on individual needs and provider performance data.

The network expansion supports Carrot’s recent launch of Sprints, a program targeting conditions related to metabolic dysfunction that affect fertility outcomes. The combination aims to provide what the company describes as hyper-personalized care addressing underlying health factors.

“Maintaining the best-in-class network isn’t just about identifying top performing providers – it’s about ensuring that every member receives the highest quality, evidence-based care at the right time, in the right setting, and with clear financial transparency,” said Dr. Asima Ahmad, Carrot’s Chief Medical Officer.

Carrot serves more than 1,000 multinational employers, health plans, and health systems globally. The platform provides services including preconception care, pregnancy support, IVF, male factor infertility treatment, adoption assistance, gestational carrier care, and menopause management.

The expanded payment capabilities allow Carrot to receive and pay claims directly to providers in some cases, eliminating the need for members to use the Carrot Card or wait for reimbursement. This addresses common friction points in fertility care access and affordability.
