Fount, a company specializing in experiment-driven health and performance optimization, has announced a successful $12M Series A fundraise to expand its mission of making personalized health and performance optimization programs more widely available. The round was led by Amity Ventures with participation from Elysian Park Ventures, Not Boring Capital, Allen & Co, Champion Hill Ventures, and angel investors.
The company initially began working with professional athletes and Navy SEALs, and has since developed its flagship offering, Fount Pro, which provides customized programs that enable clients to optimize their energy, focus, mood, sleep, gut health, longevity, fertility, and body composition. Fount uses n=1 experimentation and coaching from experts in various fields, such as former military special operators, Olympic sports scientists, and sleep researchers. Fount’s founder and CEO, Andrew Herr, previously led human performance efforts for the U.S. military and has been honored twice as a Mad Scientist by the U.S. Army.

Fount combines proprietary data sets with AI expertise to create effective and scalable products, including FlyKitt, a jet lag solution that has shown remarkable results based on its scientific insights into the role of inflammation in jet lag. Fount will launch a series of additional products for sleep and – probably of interest to many of you reading this – women’s health in 2023.
