UK-based intimate care brand WooWoo has raised £750K to expand to the U.S. after successfully expanding to France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Australia in 2021. Besides further international expansion the new funds will be used for R&D.

WooWoo was founded in 2016 by Lucy Anderson and launched in 2018 with support from Superdrug. Today the brand is stocked by a number of leading retailers but the brand’s main business channel remains their e-commerce site WooWoo.fun, which gives the company a global platform for social advocacy around women’s confidence and distizmatization of women’s sexuality.

Now we are championing social justice campaigns. WooWoo started because I couldn’t believe how behind the times brands were when it came to approaching women’s intimate health and sexuality. Thanks to our latest round of funding we can take our message and products to women across the globe.”
