Withings has received FDA clearance for BeamO, a device that combines an electrocardiogram, digital stethoscope, and thermometer. The device enables at-home measurements of vital indicators typically assessed during medical consultations.

BeamO performs measurements of body temperature, cardiac health, and pulmonary health in less than a minute. The device features two stainless steel electrodes for a 1-lead electrocardiogram, a piezoelectric disc for capturing acoustic sound waves of the heart and lungs, and contactless temperature measurement via temporal artery analysis.

“BeamO brings access to key vital signs, typically measured during medical consultations, into everyday life,” said Eric Carreel, Founder and President of Withings. “All this new data on the heart, lungs, and temperature provides an overview of the state of each user’s health.”

The device syncs automatically with the Withings app via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Users can generate and share clinician-ready web links directly from their health data through HealthLink, a feature integrated within the Withings app.

Withings offers Cardio Check-Up through its Withings+ subscription service, providing a cardiac health assessment conducted by cardiologists within 24 hours. The digital stethoscope feature is not intended for diagnosis, treatment, or monitoring and is only intended to record and share with a healthcare professional.
