WHOOP has launched WHOOP 5.0 and WHOOP MG, two new wearable devices featuring expanded women’s health capabilities through its Hormonal Insights experience.
The new devices offer advanced health sensing capabilities with 14+ days of battery life. WHOOP 5.0 provides health and fitness tracking, while WHOOP MG adds medical-grade insights including ECG readings and blood pressure monitoring.
Jess Banasiak, Women’s Health Product lead at WHOOP, highlighted the significance of the new Hormonal Insights feature in a LInkedIn Post: “It’s about so much more than cycle tracking or optimized training and performance. It’s about giving women and people who menstruate the tools they need to live in deeper rhythm with their bodies. About building a world where women can better advocate for themselves in healthcare settings.”
The Hormonal Insights feature is designed to help users understand how menstrual cycles, hormonal fluctuations, and pregnancy impact sleep, strain, recovery, and overall well-being. The system provides actionable insights and coaching tailored to individual physiological patterns.
“Especially in the face of hormonal shifts that have long been under-researched, under-discussed, and under-supported. It’s about education. It’s about awareness. It’s about empowerment,” Banasiak added.
Along with the enhanced women’s health features, WHOOP has introduced Healthspan, a feature that quantifies long-term health by measuring “WHOOP Age” and “Pace of Aging,” allowing users to understand how lifestyle choices impact overall longevity.
The company has also restructured its membership offerings into three tiers: WHOOP One, focused on fitness performance; WHOOP Peak, centered on longevity and health management; and WHOOP Life, which includes advanced health and heart monitoring features.
WHOOP MG features Heart Screener, which provides information about potential early warning signs of atrial fibrillation, as well as Blood Pressure Insights, offering daily estimates of systolic and diastolic ranges.
The devices can be worn in multiple locations on the body and are compatible with a redesigned line of apparel and accessories
