Sonio has announced Sonio Voice, a new AI-powered voice recognition solution for OB-GYN ultrasound reporting. The tool integrates with Sonio’s ultrasound reporting platform to enable real-time transcription and data entry during exams.
“With Sonio Voice, we are advancing our mission to lead the AI-driven transformation of ultrasound workflows,” said Cécile Brosset, CEO and co-founder of Sonio. “Our portfolio is a testament to how transformative technology can deliver unprecedented value and efficiency, enabling our customers to provide better care with smarter, faster tools.”
The solution aims to reduce administrative burden and manual data entry for healthcare professionals during ultrasound exams. Sonio’s platform is vendor-neutral, compatible with all ultrasound machines, and integrates with existing systems including EHR, Fax, and PACS.
The launch follows Sonio’s €85 million acquisition by Samsung Medison in 2024. The deal positioned the company for global expansion while maintaining its vendor-neutral approach. Samsung Medison CEO Kyu Tae Yoo highlighted the acquisition’s strategic importance: “With the workforce shortages affecting the global healthcare industry, the real-time ultrasound exam guidance and quality assurance developed by Sonio is becoming more relevant to ensure high-quality care.”
