Smart ring maker Oura has launched enhanced Pregnancy Insights and a new Perimenopause Check-In feature, both integrated with clinical care through partnerships with Midi Health, Evernow, Maven Clinic, and Progyny. The features provide personalized biometric tracking for women navigating key life stages.
The upgraded Pregnancy Insights offers continuous tracking of physiological changes using data from over 10,000 pregnancies in Oura’s database. The feature includes gestational age tracking, personalized calibration for new users, and trend visualization for key biometrics including temperature, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and respiratory rate.
The platform now displays biometric data alongside reference ranges derived from Oura’s population data, helping users distinguish between expected fluctuations and patterns that may warrant medical consultation. The feature includes pregnancy-specific symptom tagging for conditions like Braxton Hicks contractions, nausea, and pelvic pain.
“We’re expanding the Oura experience to better reflect the deeply personal and varied realities of women’s health,” said Holly Shelton, chief product officer at Oura. “From pregnancy to perimenopause, women undergo profound physiological changes that have too often been dismissed or misunderstood.”
The new Perimenopause Check-In integrates the clinically validated Menopause Rating Scale survey with wearable data and direct access to specialty care. Users complete a 12-question assessment to receive personalized symptom severity ratings and quality of life measures, along with a PDF report designed for sharing with healthcare providers.
The feature addresses a significant gap in care for over one billion women worldwide who are either in perimenopause or post-menopause. Users can access care through Oura’s partner network, where clinicians can incorporate biometric data into treatment planning. Through the partnerships, Midi Health provides insurance-covered midlife care including hormone therapy and lifestyle coaching. Evernow offers personalized treatment plans incorporating Oura data. Maven Clinic delivers comprehensive reproductive and midlife health support using API-integrated sleep, activity, and stress data. Progyny provides fertility and women’s health benefits with Oura insights integrated into care team decisions.
