Canopie joins Techstars New York
Techstars NYC recently kicked off its Spring 2022 cohort and among the participants is femtech company Canopie Health, a startup focused on promoting mental health for expecting women and new mothers. The company was selected out of more than 700 applications.
Canopie’s digital platform provides new moms with personalized, evidence-based therapeutic techniques to prevent and address symptoms of maternal depression and anxiety.
OMGYNO Makes the Finals at EU-Startup Summit’s Pitch Competition
1300 startups applied, 15 were selected and 1 femtech startup made the finals of this year’s pitch competition at EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona (May 12-13). And it is… *drumroll*… Greece-based medtech startup OMGYNO, founded by Doreen Toutikian in 2021.
The startup combines telehealth with at-home testing gyno kits, educational content on sexual health and wellness, and an ecommerce shop with sustainable period care products. OMGYNO is driving innovation in an underserved sector and is particularly interested in supporting the female and gender queer community in more conservative environments, tackling misinformation around women’s health and enhancing the quality of care that’s available.
Sunny Period Launches Pre-Orders
After going viral on TikTok with an explainer video, Sunny Period decided to launch pre-orders for its innovative new cycle care solution, the Sunny Cup + Applicator.
The Sunny Cup + Applicator is a reusable menstrual cup that inserts like a tampon using the reusable applicator. Both are made from biocompatible materials. The brand-new products are expected to ship towards the end of 2022.
