Noom has launched a Diabetes Lifestyle Program for employers and health plans, along with a glucose forecasting tool that predicts how meals affect blood glucose levels without requiring a continuous glucose monitor or additional hardware.
The Diabetes Lifestyle Program combines one-on-one coaching, personalized nutrition guidance, and tracking tools. In clinical validation, nearly three-fourths of members achieved a clinically significant A1C reduction over three months. Average A1C dropped by 1.0%, and mean blood glucose decreased by 29 mg/dL.
The glucose forecasting tool uses AI to predict how meals may affect future blood glucose levels based on member demographics including age, sex, BMI, and metabolic status. The tool will be available to enterprise members who have access to the Diabetes Lifestyle program and select consumer members.
The forecasting tool provides predictive insights to help members anticipate glucose responses to meals and identifies specific ingredients within a meal that drive heightened blood glucose. The tool is designed as an early intervention support for individuals with prediabetes or elevated risk.
“Managing diabetes requires a proactive approach, not just reactive treatment,” said Cody Fair, Chief Commercial Officer at Noom. “By pairing our proven behavioral science tools with cutting-edge predictive technology, Noom empowers individuals and partners to intervene earlier, prevent progression, and make healthier choices every day.”
