Danish-Swedish initiative Next Phase Femtech has launched with €1.6 million from the EU’s Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak program to bring women’s health solutions to market.
The three-year initiative, led by the Research Unit at Zealand University, has selected three market-ready menopause solutions, including workplace advocacy organization Hormoner på Arbejde, digital health platform MeWe&You Health, and AI-assisted symptom management app Minimal.
During the program, the three companies’ solutions will be tested with healthcare professionals across institutions in Region Zealand, Region Skåne, and the Tomelilla Municipality, to help establish future workplace solutions and policies.
“Women in healthcare are holding up the system while often managing their own menopause symptoms with no support and no data to back them up. Next Phase Femtech lets us test real tools with the people who need them most, and turn what we learn into meaningful data, the foundation of a body of knowledge on menopause that’s been missing for far too long,” said Minimal founder Jacqueline Nuwame.
Beyond menopause, Next Phase Femtech will recruit 30 companies spanning women’s health solutions, offering access to development programming spanning market insight, business development, implementation, and networking.
