Actress Naomi Watts and L Catterton, a consumer-focused investment firm, have officially partnered to acquire Stripes Beauty, a company specializing in wellness products for menopausal women. Launched in 2022 by Watts, Stripes Beauty targets the beauty and wellness sector with a focus on the needs and challenges of menopause, providing personal care and beauty products, including nutritional supplements, skincare, haircare, and vaginal wellness.

This new partnership will enable Stripes Beauty to enhance its operations and expand its reach both domestically and internationally. The firm plans to increase investment in product development, marketing, and team expansion to meet growing consumer demands.

L Catterton manages approximately $35 billion of equity capital across its platforms and is known for its investments in consumer brands. New Stripes Beauty leadership under Executive Chair Debra Perelman (former Revlon CEO) and President Cara Kamenev (former L’Oreal executive) is expected to guide growth and innovation strategies.

Naomi Watts, founder of Stripes Beauty, commented: “This is an exciting moment for Stripes Beauty, and I’m grateful to L Catterton for believing in our brand and sharing our vision of supporting women in menopause. Stripes Beauty’s mission, products, and community are deeply meaningful to me, and I’m thrilled to partner with L Catterton, who is also dedicated to providing solutions to this underserved community.”

Whitney Casey, the lead for L Catterton on this deal, added: “As consumer-focused investors, we have followed the success of Stripes Beauty and believe in their mission to develop a community of support for women as they age. We are proud to invest in women and contribute to developing a health platform to address the full range of women’s unique lifestyle needs. Led by a team of strong industry experts, we will nurture and grow the Stripes Beauty brand, its community, and consumer loyalty.”

The brand is currently working on the launch of a new product, The Dream Date, a sleep aid supplement, and an upcoming launch on QVC as well as Canadian market entry later this year.
