Joy has raised $14 million in Series A funding co-led by Forerunner Ventures and Raga Partners, with participation from Magnify Ventures, Ingeborg Investments, Shazi Visram, Rogue Venture Partners, and Next Legacy Partners. The company has also launched the Joy Parenting Club app.
The app provides AI-powered parenting guidance combined with access to certified human experts including sleep, lactation, child development, and parenting specialists available 24/7. The membership costs $12 per month and includes milestone tracking, insights, and personalized product recommendations with discounts.
The AI is trained on certified human expertise and Joy’s proprietary knowledge base. When parents need direct human support, certified coaches are available for live conversations.
“Parenting is the most important job in the world, but most parents are left to do it alone,” said Emily Greenberg, President of Joy. “With Joy, every parent now has a village of experts—supercharged with AI—available in their pocket 24/7.”
“Parenting is one of life’s most rewarding experiences, but it also comes with enormous challenges,” said Julie Wroblewski, Managing Partner at Magnify Ventures. “Joy is addressing these by integrating the support and tools parents need into a single platform. The combination of AI and human expertise is a game-changer, and we’re excited to support Joy’s mission.”
The funding will support development of the AI platform, expand integrations with baby and parenting brands, and grow the company’s expert network.
Joy provides access to parent coaches, lactation consultants, and other certified parenting specialists through its platform.
