Healthcare data analytics company hc1 has announced the launch of HerCare, a new module within its MyBloodHealth platform designed to safeguard maternal health by identifying and addressing risks associated with anemia during pregnancy.

HerCare represents an industry-first approach to analyzing lab biomarkers and clinical data in real time, providing obstetrics teams with actionable insights to prevent serious anemia-related complications before they become critical. The technology focuses on anemia in pregnancy, a common but preventable risk factor associated with complications including postpartum depression, preeclampsia, and pre-term birth. In severe cases, anemia can lead to excessive bleeding and high blood pressure disorders that pose significant risks during childbirth.

“At hc1, we are committed to improving women’s care, and our team created HerCare to prevent complications during and after pregnancy,” said hc1 CEO, Founder, and Chairman Bradley Bostic. “HerCare identifies insights in lab data to proactively treat expectant mothers who have anemia, a critical risk factor in pregnancy. By leveraging our MyBloodHealth platform, hc1 is collaborating with leading healthcare organizations to close this critical gap in obstetric care by giving clinicians the tools they need to make informed, often life-saving decisions.”

The company is initially rolling out HerCare to current MyBloodHealth customers on a limited basis, with plans to offer it more widely to hospital systems and obstetrics practices in late 2025.

According to hc1, the HerCare module aims to reduce preventable pregnancy complications through three key approaches:

  1. Early Risk Detection: Identifying patients at risk through real-time monitoring of lab results and clinical data.
  2. Personalized Care: Offering tailored insights to guide decisions that enhance patient safety.
  3. Clinical Decision Support: Assisting healthcare providers with data-driven recommendations for timely interventions.

The HerCare module reflects hc1’s broader mission of revealing vital health insights hidden in lab data. The company’s MyBloodHealth platform leverages advanced data management, analytics, and workflow automation powered by AI to uncover actionable insights and hidden risk signals.
