FOLX Health, a digital healthcare service provider designed by and for the medical needs of the LGBTQIA+ community, is launching an enterprise solution that enables employers to offer the LGBTQIA+ workforce end-to-end primary care, gender-affirming care, care advocacy, and community. In addition to healthcare services, FOLX Health offers support for parents of LGBTQIA+ youth as well as for Human Resource and Benefits teams through diversity, equity, and inclusion training and education. As of today, Grindr, planful, and the Ali Forney Center, along with other technology companies, are offering FOLX Health’s gender-affirming, sexual and reproductive health care to their employees.

“Since launching in 2020, FOLX’s mission has been to provide expert, affirming healthcare to the queer and trans community. We are honored to take this mission a step further – just in time for Pride Month – by helping employers offer our services to their LGBTQIA+ workforce,” said FOLX Health CEO, Liana Douillet Guzmán. “Representation is so important for the LGBTQIA+ community in healthcare settings, with more than half of queer and trans people facing discrimination while seeking medical care. Employers offering this benefit ensures employees get the care they need and deserve – especially at a time when our rights are being attacked across the country.”

“Including FOLX in our benefits offerings has given our employees a way of getting their unique healthcare needs met in a more compassionate and effective way,” said Heidi Schriefer (she/her), VP, People & Places at Grindr. “The services offered by FOLX have improved our employees’ physical and mental wellbeing.”

“Given the overwhelming disparities transgender and non-binary communities face in so many aspects of society — and especially in accessing affirming care through insurance coverage, we at the Ali Forney Center were thrilled to know there was something we can do to provide support for our coworkers,” said Alexander Roque, President and Executive Director at Ali Forney Center. “FOLX is a supplementary solution that every employer should consider offering to its staff. FOLX’s team is culturally and linguistically competent and helped us navigate state and federal governing laws on supplemental health offerings, and was ever present in meeting with our staff team, hosting info sessions, and responding to our TGNB coworkers.”

Beyond working with employers, FOLX Health is also launching a community platform that will provide access to LGBTQIA+ health resources, peer groups, live events, learning programs and community-based content. FOLX will launch peer groups in partnership with Schuyler Bailar. Bailar, the first openly transgender NCAA Division I swimmer, will lead these support groups as he offers expert advice and human connection on the platform, something so many members of the LGBTQIA+ community are in need of.
