Spotlight: Accelerators
Only about 2 years ago, when asked about accelerators focused on femtech we used to draw a blank. When looking at our database of accelerators and venture builders active in our space, clearly this had changed A LOT.
Especially over the past few weeks there's been quite a bit of activity around new accelerators and its exciting to see the different approaches and focus the various programs are choosing. Time to get caught up!
New Accelerator Programs
A number of new accelerator programs explicitly focused on women's health have emerged over the past couple of weeks. Some just launched, while others just announced their first cohorts.
Impact.51: A new Israeli startup studio focused on women's health. The first cohort will focus on solutions supporting women through menopause.
FemHealth Founder x StitchCrew: This new Arkansas-based program wants to support the launch of 50 women's health focused businesses by 2026.
Goddess Gaia Ventures x Capital Enterprise: The new UK-based accelerator program will support early-stage startups get investment ready.
Trailblazer Ventures: The new US-based accelerator program focused on women and sports just announced its first cohort.
Organon x FlatLabs: The first cohort of femtech startups just graduated. All companies are focused on driving innovation in women's health in the MENA region.
It's great to see the support system for early-stage women's health startups grow and mature and encouraging to see more and more femtech startups participate in accelerator programs like Y-Combinator or UnitedHealthcare Accelerator.
Is femtech slowly "going mainstream" in the startup ecosystem? We sure hope so! 🙌
