Luxury fitness chain Equinox has launched a Women’s Health and Performance Initiative, ‘Equinox Arc’, that combines personalized training, diagnostic testing, and wearable data to address members’ needs across different life stages from menstruation to menopause.

The program includes a new Women’s Health Certification for trainers through the Equinox Fitness Training Institute. Certified coaches will design training and recovery programs specific to hormonal changes during fertility, postpartum recovery, and perimenopause.

Members gain access to Function Health lab testing covering over 100 biomarkers and hormone panels. Wearable device integration provides real-time data on sleep, recovery, heart rate variability, and activity levels, which coaches use to adjust training and nutrition plans.

The initiative includes group fitness classes like “Stronger Women” that focus on strength building while fostering community among participants. Equinox developed the curriculum with a newly formed Women’s Health Advisory Board, though board member names were not disclosed.

The company is also launching The Wellness Corner, an e-commerce platform selling women’s health and recovery products, alongside a “Become Her” marketing campaign.

The program enters a competitive market as fitness chains increasingly target women’s health needs. Equinox’s approach differentiates through comprehensive diagnostic testing and data integration, though pricing for these services has not been disclosed.

The launch reflects broader industry recognition that standard fitness programming fails to account for hormonal variations and life stage changes that affect women’s training needs and recovery patterns.
