Ananya Health Secures $100K to Expand Cervical Cancer Prevention

Ananya Health has secured $100,000 from existing investor EHA Impact Ventures to advance its in-office cervical cancer prevention device, marking EHA’s third investment in the company.

Although cervical cancer is considered one of the most preventable cancers, nearly 280,000 women died from the disease in 2024, while a third of women ages 21 to 29 have never been screened. The most common procedure for treating cervical precancer – the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) – requires local anesthesia, special equipment, and a clinician trained in electrosurgical techniques.

Aiming to streamline prevention, California-based Ananya Health has developed a portable, battery-powered cryoablation device that freezes abnormal cervical cells that could become cancerous. The device is designed for use by physicians, nurse practitioners, or midwives during regular pelvic exams.By eliminating the need for a specialist, Ananya aims to reduce time to treatment and expand access to care.

The new funding will support ongoing research and company infrastructure as Ananya prepares its FDA clearance application and eventual clinical rollout. The company also plans to expand beyond the US into markets  including Mexico, Nigeria, and India.
