About Clue
Clue helps everyone who menstruates to understand their bodies—and to be empowered by that knowledge. Our vision is to enable women and people with cycles to live in tune with their biology, not in spite of it.
Founded by Ida Tin, Clue is a VC-backed startup based in Berlin helping over 10 million people each month get insights into their reproductive health via our Android and iOS apps. We collaborate with world-leading universities and institutes to advance female health research with our dataset, and deliver essential education about health, periods, and sex via our website, helloclue.com.
The Role
- You’ll be working alongside the Editor and our science team to create engaging, educational content for helloclue.com, which could also appear in our app
- You will be translating academic material into accessible and accurate content
- There are opportunities for different project types including:
- Writing about Clue’s research projects. Clue has collaborated on projects research institutes such as The Kinsey Institute, Stanford University, Columbia University, and the University of Oxford
- Writing articles about various menstrual and reproductive health topics
What we’re looking for
We are seeking writers who can produce high-quality science communication that is evidence-based, empathetic, inclusive, and accessible. This is an exciting opportunity for writers to work on important issues and highlight great scientific research. The job will entail interviewing researchers who are studying reproductive and menstrual health, in order to update users on what Clue does alongside running an app. Clue does not sell its data but it does make it anonymous and releases sets to scientists who are advancing reproductive health for women and nonbinary people, in order to better benefit our users.
About you
You have experience as a researcher and/or healthcare provider who can write and fact-check educational content on various menstrual and reproductive health topics. You are passionate about research and are able to deliver factually correct content. You are a good communicator and open to feedback.
Requirements
- Advanced degree(s) in clinical medicine; obstetrics and gynaecology; and/or women’s health, contraceptive, sexual, and/or menstrual research
- Experience writing on scientific topics for a lay audience in English
- Ability to ensure your work aligns with the brand guidelines and tone of voice and speaks to our target audience
- We are looking for experienced writers who can start immediately. Please submit 2 writing samples that are relevant to health writing (blog posts are okay!) with your application.
