About The Cusp
The Cusp is creating a new, integrative approach to midlife care with telehealth and technology, starting with a focus on menopause—which half of the population will go through. We deliver highly personalized, evidence-based expert care to women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
Role Summary
As one of our first engineers, you’ll have a huge impact on everything from the stack to the culture of our team and our company. We’ll rely on the platform you help to build as the key to delivering healthcare to our clients, connecting with potential users, and testing and implementing new services we roll out. We are looking for a solid thinker, doer, and collaborator.
Once you’re here you will
- Co-create and implement applications for clients and our care team
- Actively participate in the design and creation of a robust and scalable server-side architecture that can interact with millions of users
- Provide constructive feedback in code reviews
- Deploy and maintain your code in the cloud
- Design and maintain large databases
- Work collaboratively with developers, designers, and clinicians
- Write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
- Go from experimentation to mastery in new tools and methodologies that help us deliver a great care experience
Qualifications
- You’re a well-rounded developer with 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Ruby, Python, Java, and frameworks include Rails, Django or Grails
- Javascript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks include React, Vue or AngularJS
- You are fluent in industry-standard tools like relational and NoSQL databases and cloud services
- You’re detail-oriented, with an eye and respect for design
- You have a growth mindset and are comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation
- You see development as a team sport and can effectively communicate and collaborate across disciplines
- Bonus points if you have experience developing in a regulated field (healthcare, finance, etc) or experience with statistical and machine learning
