The role
Modern Fertility is looking for a Marketing Associate to join our team on our mission to make personalized fertility information more accessible, earlier in life. In this role , you’ll be a valuable member of the marketing team who frequently works cross-functionally with the communications, community and design teams. Your main focus will be supporting our owned social channels as well as our campaign operations: from influencer outreach to asset development, to project management. You will also manage one-to-one relationships with our key external brand partners – primarily our influencer and affiliate community – to get the word out about Modern Fertility.
This role is a great way to learn marketing across different types of channels and we’re looking for self-starters and fast learners who are excited by trying anything and everything. You will have a direct impact on how we present our company and brand on every scale – from large brand partnerships and national TV ads to seasonal campaigns and evergreen social media initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, self-motivated, detail-oriented, hyper-organized and excels at partnering with different stakeholders to meet deadlines and objectives.
The day to day:
Campaign management
- Coordinate integrated campaign planning across the marketing and communications teams.
- Proactively lead the creative development of video content, photography and other assets for our social and paid advertising channels from ideas through execution.
- Manage agency partners and contractors to ensure timely delivery of assets to hit deadlines for media plans and campaign calendars.
- Possesses analytical curiosity and the skills to measure and evaluate the success of our campaigns and incorporate learnings into future campaigns.
Social media management
- Plan and execute social campaigns, from feed posts to stories to live video sessions, that will drive engagement and brand awareness.
- With a deep understanding of both our brand and social trends, recommend which content we should share and create briefs for our content team to develop new assets.
- Assist in driving follower growth beyond the 50K+ today, engagement, traffic, and conversions across social platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.
- Pitch in with our Community team in triaging comments on our paid social ads 3x week and communicating trends to the team.
Affiliate and Influencer partner management
- Source, onboard, and nurture ongoing influencer relationships.
- Identify opportunities to leverage affiliate relationships to amplify our campaigns.
- Set our influencers and affiliates up for success with strong briefs, content, and assets that they can make their own while staying true to our brand.
What gets us excited:
- 2-4 years experience in a social media, marketing, or communications role — ideally for a consumer business or a marketing agency.
- Fluency of new marketing and social channels such as Snapchat and Tik Tok preferred but not required.
- Experience creating engaging, meaningful content that is true to our brand and supports business objectives.
- Campaign management execution that builds awareness, affinity, and engagement.
- Experience with video asset and social media content production.
- Project management skills to the max. Spreadsheets and to-do lists make you happy, and you aren’t afraid to pester people about deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills. You will often be the face of Modern Fertility to our agencies, influencers, affiliates, and community members.
- Have a passion for marketing and emerging brands.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Ability to run projects independently and excellent communication skills.
