Our designers are charged with the task of rethinking systems of care to deliver useful and engaging solutions to complex problems. This Product Designer will own the end-to-end design process for their specific product focus, and push their engineering and product teammates to deliver world-class design to Mahmee customers. Through the practice of design research, prototype testing, iterative design, and system thinking, designers are the backbone of Mahmee’s product development.
This is a full-time salaried position based at the company’s headquarters in Los Angeles, and operating remotely during the pandemic.

Responsibilities

- Conduct your end-to-end design process to improve current products and build new ones.
- Research users, competitors, product data, and design trends to inform the team’s product vision.
- Design healthcare workflows and experiences that are useful and elegant.
- Validate designs with end users and key stakeholders in order to drive iterative improvements.
- Work across many product surfaces; mobile, tablet, and web.
- Communicate, negotiate, and distill design requirements in collaboration with product managers, engineers, stakeholders and other designers to nurture design concepts into production-level products.
- Define and develop a design system in collaboration with other designers that creates consistency and enables product design to scale.
- Contribute to strategic decisions with the rest of the company’s leadership team.
Qualifications

- 3+ years of web design experience.
- 3+ years of visual design experience.
- 3+ years of ux design experience.
- 3+ years of strategic product thinking experience.
- A passion for using your design skills to solve problems in healthcare.
- A portfolio of B2B and B2C product design work that highlights your ability to consistently deliver engaging and accessible design.
- Proven results in identifying and resolving ux problemsExperience building and maintaining a design system in Figma or similar tools.
- Effective communication skills across disciplines such as product management, engineering, marketing, clinical, and executive leadership.
- Ability to create individually and as part of a team.
