ABOUT US
Founded in 2018 by Ann-Sophie Claus and Sinja Stadelmaier, The Female Company is a FemCare start-up which offers organic period and postpartum products and a platform around education on female health.
We were the first subscription model for organic period products in Germany and all products are made of certified organic cotton, which is grown without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Our overall aim is not only to provide sustainable alternatives, but to break taboos around shameful topics and to empower women to be proud in their womanhood! Further, we support our social initiative against period poverty in India. Find out more about Pads For Girls.
Our most recent successes:
With “The Tampon Book”, we significantly contributed to the political decision to reduce the tax rate on period products from 19% to 7%. Additionally to Anni & Sinjas invitation to the German Bundestag, the founders were also invited by the United Nations to be political spokespeople at the Women’s Rights Commission in New York.
