Nest Collaborative is on a mission to improve the lives of parents and babies by helping more families complete a 6-month breastfeeding journey that results in longer, healthier lives for mothers and babies. We were the first to provide moms access to Board-Certified Lactation Consultants via video visits that are covered by insurance. And, as the pioneer and leader, we are growing and thriving in a billion-dollar marketplace.
The person we hire for this important post will help drive our success, define our strategy, and build our culture. We’ve been at this since 2017, but growth is accelerating right now. You’ll be the first in this vital position, and a core part of our growing team.

You are a fun, collaborative, analytical, strategic risk-taker who thrills to roll up your sleeves and drive results.
- You’ve had a taste of driving growth through digital marketing.
- You can manage creatives (artists and writers), agencies and you have a network of resources you’ve used in the past.
- You know how to scale paid advertising from $5K per month through $20K per month, and are fluent in paid advertising techniques across Google and social platforms.
- You also know the value of organic marketing and can partner with us to create break through content strategies.
- You can craft the customer journey and create and drive the email marketing campaigns that will extend it.
- You breathe CAC, ROI and are always watching the numbers.
- You love being part of a founding team, and you understand the importance of creating equal opportunities for all moms to get the help they need.
Some specifics about the role. Our candidate will:
Lead our paid media strategy across Social, Online, Influencers, Referral and Affiliate and to improve our Social Media (organic) and email marketing efforts.
Create the 2021 marketing plan. Create the dashboards and the metrics. Report to the CEO, Executive team and (to come ) Board of Directors. Create alignment on the marketing goals across our growing team.
Manage the entire marketing budget and resources, including our Agency. You’ll build a team of resources – creative and editorial – and manage them as well.
Create our first brand book, customer journey guide, and email marketing campaigns.
While focusing on customer (mom) acquisition, you’ll also help us attract new partners (often doctors) and get our story out to the Lactation Consultant community.
Requirements:
Past experience that shows you are ready to lead all aspects of our digital marketing, likely 8 to 10 years of work experience, with at least a Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated ability to make a plan, design a budget.
Experience with management of agencies, creatives, and team-mates.
Experience building and using dashboards, and using research and data to drive decisions.
Can describe strategies you created to scale up acquisition while improving CAC and ROI.
Demonstrated ability to market to women.
The position will include equity as well as salary.
