Title: Principal Designer

Cleo is looking for a highly experienced designer to help define, drive and build out all of our products. We’re looking for a proven leader — a cross-functional, cross-organizational team player who thrives on teams that prioritize action and results so teams ship fast at a high-quality bar. To do this, you will learn from both qualitative and quantitative data, and iterate quickly. As Head of Design, you will be the founding design team member and lead teams that design the future of the Cleo experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Own the design team at Cleo by driving strategic goals of the company through user-centric approaches and design thinking including design systems and beyond
  • Build and define the best modern experience for Cleo
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of Product Designers, providing design direction while focusing on the quality of the design work
  • Build relationships with cross functional team members and executives across organizations, effectively speaking to process, design goals, and team vision as a leader and a strong representative of design
  • Influence product strategy and lead your team in executing design work with a high level of polish
  • Solve a range of product challenges across iOS and Android, on both mobile and web

To be successful in this role you may have:

• • Deep knowledge of information architecture, UX, UI, and interaction design concepts
  • An ability to create prototypes for mobile and responsive experiences
  • Strong visual design aesthetic, meticulous attention to detail, and a sense for visual hierarchy, balance, composition, and white space
  • Proficiency with modern tools and techniques for producing design assets and prototypes (Sketch, Framer, Flinto, Principle, Invision, Adobe CC suite, or similar)
  • Experience with style guides, design systems, and pattern libraries as well as working on extending brand design
  • A hunger to learn and evolve – from leadership skills to design craft to process to industry and market trends, you never stop pushing into the next big challenge
  • An ability to work closely with cross-functional partners to paint a long-term and holistic vision of where our Cleo products should in the long-term, while also being strategic on how to iterate quickly in the short-term to meet those long-term goals
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, and retaining multi-disciplinary design teams
  • A proven track record of being an influential design leader on enterprise software, ideally in the advertising space
  • Strong ability to accelerate team efficiency by improving processes and workflows within the design team and cross-functional teams
  • A proven track record of being able to balance ambiguity, fast iterative sprints, business awareness, technology, organizational agility, research and data insights, and high design quality
  • 8+ years in Product Design (or equivalent) , preferably in user facing products or service enabled products
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-growing environment while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and composure
  • Background in and/or passion for working in health services related to women’s health, maternity, or childcare
