Maternal health startup Stork Labs Medical has been selected for FourthWave’s 2026 accelerator program, joining 13 other women-led startups in the 16-week program.
Founded by Maryam Tebyani and Breanna Baltaxe-Admony, Stork Labs Medical is developing a flexible, sensor-guided robotic device designed to assist obstetricians with vaginal deliveries.
Without effective technology, assisted vaginal deliveries have significantly decreased, accounting for only 3% of all births – resulting in more unplanned cesarean sections, which raise risks of maternal mortality and hemorrhaging. Stork Labs aims to provide an effective and reliable assisted-delivery option for providers to confidently opt for vaginal births.
FourthWave’s Sacramento, CA-based accelerator supports early-stage women founders through mentorship, leadership development, and fundraising preparation. The program has mentored 90 founders whose companies have collectively raised more than $180 million in venture funding.
Stork Labs joins two other health and wellness startups in the 2026 cohort: SyzOnc, which is developing therapies for solid tumors, and Rollgevity, which is building an automated recovery platform focused on myofascial health, lymphatic function, circulation, mobility, and healthy aging.
