Ouma Health acquired a New England-based maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) practice from Dr. Tamara Takoudes, adding clinics in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.
Licensed in all 50 states, Ouma is an MFM provider-led telemedicine platform that sells B2B plans to health systems, payors, OB groups, federally qualified health centers, and employers. Its care spans maternal-fetal medicine, midwifery, behavioral health, addiction medicine, and lactation services.
As access to maternal healthcare wanes – 35% of US counties are maternity care deserts – Ouma is building a hybrid care model combining its nationwide MFM physician group, technology infrastructure, and in-person practices. Prior to the Takoudes acquisition, Ouma acquired Sunny Day MFM and assets from Boston MFM, establishing in-person care in Massachusetts, Florida, and Maine.
