Origin released its annual report, highlighting widespread pelvic floor dysfunction, persistent barriers to care, and the effectiveness of virtual treatment.

The findings draw on outcomes from 4,662 patients receiving virtual, hybrid, and in-person care, alongside a survey of 298 Origin patients.

With more than 20 clinics across seven states and nationwide virtual care, Origin offers in-network pelvic floor physical therapy and musculoskeletal care spanning pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, sexual health, and incontinence.

While up to 50% of women experience pelvic floor dysfunction, many delay treatment because of cost, limited awareness, and time constraints. Nearly half of Origin’s patients believed their symptoms were untreatable before seeking care, while 32% lived with symptoms for more than three years. After treatment, 89% reported improved quality of life, 73% saw improvements in mental well-being, and 72% noticed meaningful progress within two to six sessions.

Making the case for broader reimbursement and adoption, Origin’s outcomes data found virtual pelvic floor therapy delivered clinical results comparable to in-person care while requiring nearly 50% fewer visits, suggesting virtual care could expand access while lowering costs.
