Joi + Blokes has acquired HerMD, a virtual care organization focused on menopause, sexual health, and hormonal wellness. The combined platform will serve women across all 50 states. Financial terms were not disclosed.

HerMD relaunched as a virtual-only platform in Spring 2025 after closing all its physical locations in March 2025. The company had previously raised approximately $30 million in funding, including an $18 million Series A extension in 2023.

Through the acquisition, HerMD patients will have access to expanded treatments including peptide therapy and testosterone, preventative lab diagnostics, 30-60 minute appointment times, and the potential to participate in research. Joi + Blokes will add expanded sexual health treatments to its offerings.

“Their clinical leadership in areas that have historically been underserved — including menopause and sexual health — perfectly aligns with our mission to provide more in-depth clinician visits, better answers, and specialized care designed around women’s needs,” said Katy Whalen, co-founder and COO of Joi + Blokes. “This acquisition allows us to accelerate that work at a national scale.”

Joi + Blokes has treated more than 50,000 patients across all 50 states. The company’s model centers on 1:1 visits with clinicians specialized in hormonal health, personalized treatment pathways, and consistently high patient satisfaction. In a recent survey, 74% of patients reported sustained improvement from their programs.

“From day one, our mission has been to raise the standard of care for women,” said Komel Caruso, CEO of HerMD. “Joi + Blokes’ national footprint and modern virtual-care model amplify that mission, expanding access to evidence-based, patient-centered care. Together, we’re creating a stronger path forward for the 85 million perimenopausal and menopausal women across the U.S. who still lack access to specialized care.”

HerMD was founded by Dr. Somi Javaid and Komel Caruso. The organization focused on menopause and sexual health advocacy, treatment protocols, and patient education.

As part of the integration, HerMD will lead a patient education initiative within Joi + Blokes, including a forthcoming Joi x HerMD educational series covering key areas of women’s health.

“When I launched HerMD, the mission was never just to deliver care — it was to change the way women are treated in medical settings,” said Dr. Somi Javaid, HerMD Founder. “Seeing that mission carried forward at the national scale is incredibly meaningful.”

Joi + Blokes was founded by Josh and Katy Whalen and is based in Nashville, Tennessee. The company offers virtual care for hormone optimization, weight loss, diagnostics, and longevity for both men and women.
