IdentifyHer has opened US pre-orders for Peri, a wearable device designed to detect and track perimenopause symptoms. Peri uses biosensing technology and AI-driven analytics to passively track physiological signals and identify symptoms including anxiety, hot flashes, sleep disruption, and night sweats. The device profiles symptoms across the menstrual cycle, examines their interrelationships, and tracks changes over time.

“75% of perimenopausal women experience life-disrupting symptoms, yet perimenopause is treated like a mystery or an inevitability that women simply have to ‘power through.’ We reject this. Women deserve real data, validation, and support during this profoundly overlooked stage of life,” said Heidi Davis, BSc, MSc, CEO and Co-Founder of IdentifyHer.

For most women, perimenopause begins in the early to mid-40s. According to the company, 70% of women who seek clinical help for perimenopause symptoms receive no treatment, largely due to poor diagnostics and lack of clinician training, and 84% report not being believed by healthcare providers.

“Our goal with Peri is to demystify perimenopause, but more importantly, to empower and reassure women they are not alone in what they’re feeling and it is possible to take proactive action towards their health,” said Donal O’Gorman, PhD, COO and Co-Founder of IdentifyHer.

While most wearables track general wellness metrics, Peri is designed specifically to detect and interpret patterns unique to perimenopause, according to the company.

IdentifyHer was founded in 2021 by Heidi Davis and Dr. Donal O’Gorman.
