Women’s health telehealth provider Wisp has announced a strategic partnership with Nourish to offer comprehensive nutrition counseling services to patients using GLP-1 medications for weight loss. This expansion follows Wisp’s initial launch of its weight care vertical in November 2024, which was specifically designed to address weight management challenges related to hormonal conditions such as perimenopause, menopause, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), and endometriosis.
The partnership enables Wisp’s patients to access nutrition counseling services either through their health insurance or through an exclusive self-pay rate. This expansion comes as part of Wisp’s growing weight care program, which offers various prescription options including Semaglutide (Branded FDA-Approved Wegovy) Subcutaneous Injectable Medication, Compounded Semaglutide Subcutaneous Injectable Medication, Compounded Sublingual Semaglutide and Metabolic Support, and GLP-1 Boost Capsule.
“Personalized nutrition is a critical piece of the puzzle for sustainable weight care, especially for patients using GLP-1 medications. Proper guidance from a registered dietitian can help patients optimize their nutrition, manage side effects, and achieve lasting health improvements,” said Aidan Dewar, co-founder and CEO of Nourish. “This partnership with Wisp allows us to combine our expertise in food as medicine with their innovative weight care program, empowering women to take a holistic approach to their health and wellness.”
Through the partnership, patients will be matched with registered dietitians who will provide personalized care plans, coaching, recommendations, and progress tracking. Additionally, Nourish patients will receive exclusive access to discounted prescription and OTC solutions through Wisp.
The collaboration addresses a crucial need for proper nutrition support among GLP-1 medication users, helping patients manage potential side effects such as nutrient deficiencies while working to prevent rebound weight gain if medication is discontinued.
As part of its expanding weight care initiative, Wisp has also appointed Dr. Rowena Chua as Director of Women’s Weight Care. Dr. Chua, who is board-certified in Neurology and Integrative Medicine, specializes in sustainable approaches to improve overall well-being and focuses on evaluating the whole person while identifying root causes of illness.
Monica Cepak, CEO of Wisp, explained the company’s vision: “We launched weight care because we knew our patients were looking for comprehensive offerings at every price point — which didn’t exist. Now, we’re rounding out this program with a more holistic approach, leveraging strategic partnerships and tapping trusted healthcare advisors, to provide women with even more options, so they can personalize their weight care journey with help from Wisp’s range of weight-loss prescriptions, exclusively formulated supplements, and now, nutrition coaching.”
