Tiny Health has raised $33 million in an oversubscribed Series B led by B Capital, bringing its total funding to $46 million. The round included existing investors Spero Ventures, The Venture City, Overwater Ventures, as well as new backers Black Opal Ventures, Denver Ventures, Pave Health Ventures, Alumni Ventures, Gaingels, and Pari Passu Ventures.
Tiny Health’s microbiome intelligence platform uses advanced genetic sequencing to analyze gut and vaginal microbiomes and translate the data into personalized health insights. The company’s platform now serves nearly 200,000 patients and 6,000 healthcare providers.
Founded around the science of the first 1,000 days of life, Tiny Health initially focused on infant and maternal microbiome testing. Adult testing has now surpassed pediatric testing in volume as the company expands across the lifespan.
“We founded Tiny Health because the science is so impactful, the need is urgent, and no one else was building for the whole lifespan,” said Cheryl Sew Hoy, CEO and Founder of Tiny Health. “This Series B round propels microbiome science as the foundational layer for the next frontier of medicine.”
The new funding will support clinical research, interventional studies, and healthcare practitioner education, as well as its B2B platform Powered by Tiny and its proprietary LLM TinyAI.
Tiny Health also announced its Microbiome Research Program, a $5 million commitment allowing researchers, clinicians, and scientific partners to leverage its microbiome testing, data, and research capabilities.
“We believe the gut microbiome represents one of the most significant and underexplored frontiers in human health, and Tiny Health has built the platform best positioned to bring that science and the actionable health insights that follow to patients, providers, and partners at scale,” said Nick Whitehead, Senior Principal at B Capital, who will join the Tiny Health Board of Directors.
