Talkspace has partnered with women’s health provider Tia Health to deliver integrated mental health care services to more than 40,000 Tia Health members. Under the agreement, Talkspace will serve as Tia’s primary therapy and psychiatric services partner.

The partnership addresses growing concerns about women’s mental health. A recent JAMA report found that mental health among mothers in the United States declined drastically from 2016 to 2023, while research shows menopause increases vulnerability to depression and anxiety.

Tia Health operates in California, New York, and Arizona, offering virtual and in-person services that combine primary care, mental health, skincare, and gynecological care with wellness services like acupuncture. The company launched in 2017 with a focus on providing comprehensive healthcare for women across all life stages.

“By integrating our services directly into primary care, we’re removing barriers and creating a more holistic approach to women’s wellness,” said Nikole Benders-Hadi, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Talkspace. “This builds on our work with women’s health coalitions and adds more opportunities for people to find mental health services.”

The collaboration allows Tia Health’s primary care providers to refer patients directly to Talkspace for therapy and psychiatric services, creating a comprehensive care model that addresses both physical and mental wellness needs.

“We believe that mental health is foundational to women’s overall health and must be integrated seamlessly into each individual’s care plan — not operate as a separate service,” said Tia Health Co-founder and CEO Felicity Yost. “From adolescence to menopause and beyond, women face distinct emotional and psychological needs that too often go unaddressed in traditional primary care.”

The partnership expands Talkspace’s focus on women’s health, which includes previous collaborations with Ovia Health by Labcorp for the Women’s Health Coalition for Digital Solutions and a partnership with Evernow for digital perimenopause and menopause care.
